Vintage v486 with modern upgrades. High tolerance components, true bypass, 9v jack, the whole nine.

This is a good one. Includes the old bag and everything.

The prototype bass OD is a success!

It'll be a 3 knobber: volume, tone, and gain. Going to keep it simple but effective!

Bass OD prototype

This won't look anything like the production version. It'll have a unique stamp and a more normal control layout.

Bass OD #002
It officially has a name! The Amulet bass overdrive. Here's the "official" details:

The Amulet is a low-gain bass overdrive that wards away those tones that are too clean and sterile.

With a emphasis in the low-mid frequency spectrum, you won't be wondering where the meat of your bass tone went. With a tone control that can dial out all treble content or bring new life to your dead strings, finding a setting that gels with your amp and other pedals is a piece of cake.

The gain structure of the Amulet is designed to stay firmly planted in overdrive territory. At the lowest settings you will be able to get a dirty boost. Crank it for pure overdriven goodness. In the middle of the dial is the amp-on-the-edge-of-breakup sound. Dig in to your strings to feel how dynamic the dirt is. Playing lightly will be fairly clean, while aggressive plucking/picking/slapping will bring a lot of grit out.

Volume is never lacking with the Amulet. There are gobs of boost to push other pedals or your amp. Nobody will be telling you that they can't hear the bass!

And the eternal question: does it work on guitar? Man, you guitarists won't let the bassists have anything for themselves! But yes, it sounds great on guitar too. It is perfect for those who want a meaty overdrive that reacts to their playing dynamics.

Price: $125

Amulet overdrive #003

This will be the new production finish. I'll have to drop the image a bit to make it sure it isn't blocked by the knobs.
Tried it out at band practice yesterday. Mmmmm so good.
Hoping to have a couple more finished within the next week.

Thanks, odontophobia! It's one of my favorites.

Here's Amulet #004. Slight change on the tone knob, LED, and graphic placement.
Gonna be looking at getting a pro demo soon.

Treble Booster

Same circuit used in the Lupine Destroyer. Germanium-based of course. It's pretty great for driving another dirt pedal since it won't get flubby.
It can even be used to cut gain if so desired. Running into an Amulet, you can use it to clean up and thin out the drive for a cleaner and quieter tone. Then turn it off and the Amulet rips.

I'll try to get a demo with some Sabbath riffs. :omg:

Amulet overdrive

If anyone has any specific requests for demos of this (or any pedal for that matter), I'd be happy to oblige.

Yet another Amulet. #006 this time.
Might play around with the tone control's taper. Probably room to make it smoother at the CCW end.

Last of the copper Hellcat series.

I have a Caligula and reverb ready to box up, but only one (bigger 1590BB) box. So if you're interested in one of those, let me know sooner rather than later.

And finally, a little quote from a recent buyer of a Black Skull fuzz: “Weird, gnarly, and trashyfuzzyfilthy - obviously, I love it.”
