Sounds really good w/ max reverb going into the ct5, (would love a 2nd verb after it :p)...

Definitely encourage reverb after the Ct5. Ct5->bitquest set to Rev with fuzz. Mode1 w fdbk wound out, and all that addressing/aliasing/clicking/buffering/freq-above-hearing-range (whatever that sound is) that happens gets smeared by the reverb into a really nice haze that layers super nicely. Adjust wet/dry of both Ct5 and bitquest for variations. (I'm assuming this would work with other reverb pedals too).

Bike backwards and you get a reverse delay.

All of these are from when I had the two switch version and all are for mode 1, hopefully they'll be fine for all versions.
It's also worth bearing in mind that the knob positions are to some degree approximate, and that you might find small tweaks more to your taste.

This one is all about 5ths/octaves (6th/final quantize position). The only differences are that you were taking a larger sample size and using a touch more feedback.

I've been spending a significant amount of time with this beast lately on a board that I have on a keyboard stand to twist knobs and really feel that I've got a hold of it. There are still TONS of combinations and tricks I haven't explored, but I've finally reached the point where it's not just happy accidents, but deliberate control. Mode 1 has the most to still explore, but I've found some nice pockets of sounds to turn to (like pretty much anything along the spectrum of minimal LEN B or tuning the DIR1 to be a straight up delay that can be altered to get chorus like effects, etc).

Mode 2 looping and then mangling is great fun as well as Transcendence in Mode 3 and adding in the various play back heads through the E switch and volume (Q down and twist the knob).

At this point, I've really bonded with the pedal...I kinda want a second one now or to get it etched or something as a reward for the effort spent.

I'm getting one of the 5th anniversary CT5s for pretty similar reasons. Also... I love the one with squares.
I'm getting one that looks like this:

Some complain about "having to relearn this pedal" after not playing it for a while.
I see that as a plus. Exploration and discovery spur inspiration and help me approach
things from different angles and improvise "new" solutions. Everything new is old again.

Those that find the CT5 "frustrating" just have not discovered THE CT5 SECRET.
When frustrated just close your eyes, take a deep breath, and count to five.
