Idea wouldn't be for smooth for me at least. You could do all kinds of weird broken tape stop sounds and FX. and essentially do turntable style scratches with your foot. For your skee-lo cover band.

filter knobs would be cool too. That could almost take it to mellotron sounding drones. if your careful.

If you do constant pitch, you could essentially make a floor hurdy gurdy pedal. flurdy gurdy.
