SG killswitch

Wed Jan 11, 2017 4:03 am

Hey all.

Im thinking of continuing to modify my sg further with a arcade button style killswitch. Anyone know how I would go about doing that and where I could buy said switch? Preferably I would like to get one in black or white if possible. Thoughts/recommendations?

Sanwa arcade buttons are the standard for arcade buttons. I like the silent line for my weird projects. Hardest part is most arcade buttons are fairly deep, not sure if the SG is deep enough. Also find a 30mm drill bit.

The actual wiring of a kill switch is super easy once you find your switch.

See thats what I was worried about, the depth of the button. Would 24mm be the right depth?

SPST switch,
terminals as follow

[empty] [from switch/hot] [to output]

Actually, most arcade buttons just have 2 terminals. And a better way to wire it a would be [from jack hot] [from Jack ground]. That will eliminate any hum issues you would get.

And I believe the depth on the 24mm buttons is still the same
