OK so it's not totally done yet. I havent gotten the straplocks in and I'm waiting on the 4 way switch to come in so right now I just have the neck pickup wired straight to the jack. And you know what? Fuck some controls. I'm just going to put the 4 way switch in and run that shit straight to the jack. It sounds so rad. Punchy bottom with some glassy highs. Fucking grinds with some OD. But not in a harsh icepick way. Just harmonic as fuck. So yeah. This thing is just gonna be my rip your face off riff machine. Sounds nice clean too but I rarely play totally clean.

It does need a setup though. There are some dead spots on the fretboard, mostly in the first few frets. Maybe I need to adjust the truss rod? I can't get the action to go any higher. It's mostly on the higher strings.

Anyways, it's playable. I haven't tried to set it up too much. Just marvelling at how good it feels in my hands.

Did you solve dead frets? How?

Yeah I decided to man up and adjust the truss rod. No more dead frets! The action is a little high still. Whenever I change strings I'll mess with it again.

Since I finished this I haven't picked up another instrument. This thing is so gnarly. I don't miss having a volume or tone control at all.

That's cool. Congratulations on a successful build. I hate truss adjustments but it's a necessary evil & worth undoing & re-doing the strings 2-3 damn times.
I like fewest knobs possible I need at least vol knob.
