:lol: I think almost all Sixties guitars had covers like that and most guitarists just took 'em off and left 'em off. Used 'em as ashtrays or threw 'em away.

I mean, you never see Strats or Teles with those things on anymore. Totally fell by the wayside. They don't even include stuff like that on new guitars these days. :idk:
