IE pedals specs?

Postby Lebowsky » Mon Jun 08, 2015 5:59 am

Every time I redo my board I end up looking for the same information and never find it again... would it be possible to have list of mA draw for each IE pedal? And just to make sure, do all pedals support daisy chaining or are there some more picky than others?

thanks :)

The current draw is now listed on each individual pedal page as well as the listings in the shop. I could also put them all together on the About page if that would be helpful.

Xerograph, Xerograph Deluxe, FrantaBit, Nimbus, Polytope - 85mA
Oxide, Subterranea - 45mA
QF2 - 75mA

I have always powered my pedals using Visual Sound 1-spots, daisy chaining up to about 8 pedals and have never had any issues, nor can I think of any reasons that the circuits would have any problem with that. I've also never heard much feedback from people saying that they had issues with doing this. I think of the 1-spot as being a pretty average supply - it's totally adequate but obviously inexpensive and without any isolation or other features that higher-end supplies have. If the pedals work well with this, I expect them to work well across a wide range of supplies.

But, I can't say that there could never be issues with any power supply or third party effect pedal, because I haven't used/tested all the power supplies that exist nor anywhere near all the different pedals out there. Maybe some users can post their own experiences. I would certainly want to know about it if people have had any issues with certain supplies.

thanks!

I actually never had any problems, but I always daisy chained IE pedals together, and never more than two on one outlet.
