well, what exactly have you been trying? i like weaving a paperclip (or a rubberband) through the strings and pushing it down near the bridge. clips work better if you can get them to stick straight up.

Well, I tried to borrow a few tricks from a Fred Frith video, but my acoustic has sort of high-ish action, so it was hard to find things that wouldn't just slip out of the strings :idk:
Was going to try to find something I could weave around the strings..but wasn't sure what to use...:idk: I'm still a newb when it comes to prepared guitar..but it's something I've been interested in for a while as a listener :P

"creepy" sounds like the perfect application for ring modulator.

i've found that my favorite "spooky" thing to do with a ring mod is play dissonant triads...with the right setting they sound like church bells, especially into a reverb/delay or with some added modulation.

you could also do something from bc rich (i like mockingbirds, more subtle)
or maybe one of those fernandes guitars.. with the sustainer kits. seems cool.
