2019 Gibsons?

You'll see the "good" sale in the spring if they're not moving on the 2018s, as per normal Gibson runs.

And the LP Jr arrived.

Zero, zero complaints - fretwork is as consistently solid as I've found on all my recent ones (a 2014 and a pair of 2016s, all Plek'd, I have no idea if this one is but it might as well be). Setup/intonation is good out of the box, latter being especially decent for a wraparound. Rosewood looks better than any of the Fenders I've bought this century!

Sounds like a P90 should, and stuff like my Bee Baa proper clone clean up ridiculously well with the volume knob so I can TGP it up.

Swapped the stock knobs for speed knobs as God intended.

Looks great! I'll hold tight for Spring to see if the Autumn Bursts are around at a good price.

And nice to see positive comments on construction. It seems like over the years Gibson has been the company players love to hate. The 2 2016 SGs I bought, a faded t and special t were great. Here are what they basically look like:

I look forward to Gibson going back to basics.

BTW, mini-humbuckers slay all other pickups!

I'm not averse to them, but I don't seek them out.

For buckers, I'm a simple man. Give me steel-melting Dirty Fingers or the reissues, or the classic 490R/498T combo.

Well now I’m seriously thinking of the 2018 walnut finish special with minis ... p90s are great but I dont think they are as versatile as minis, p90s are very p90ish :) ... I already have a new 2016 fender mustang w/p90s which sound great but are too scooped

P90s I want as a sometimes treat, more than a regular meal.

I have a Casino but I'm not a hollowbody guy much (it's a seasonal treat at most).

The mini buckers are sort of ...ok. I haven't ever been blown away enough nor hated them enough, and haven't hit a guitar that I had to have that had them to spend quality time with them long-term

I loved the Firebird pickups in those 70's Tribute Firebird Studios from a few years ago. Shouldn't have traded that one.
