i still think about getting a shamisen but they're real expensive and i think i'd get more use out of a bouzouki

Ukele basses are fun. I have a Kala that I like a lot. Not really guitars per se but definitely "other".

That’s a nice one. The only downside is that the full-bodied saz has to be played seated. Nevertheless, he would make nice friends with a full switchy jazzmaster.
