Yeah - I debated getting a couple of other models for a while, but this was the one that spoke to me because I really wanted to try creating a new voice with a guitar that had P90s. The only other one in the model line with P90s had a single piece wraparound bridge, and I was done with those.

I just purchased an sgv300 without the trem arm. It’s bright fucking red. It’s not here yet but I’m pumped.

Any idea on a proper replacement trem arm?

A friend has 4 or 5 of the various SG models and loves them to death.

I had an 80s start shaped with locking them model for a bit and it was nice guitar.

I also had one of their entry level classicals I picked up at a flea market and it was totally respectable.

I wasn't too into the archtop I had for a while (AEX1500?). It was super stiff and dead acoustically, though worked fine for the old school muted jazz type sound.

The 60s looking ones with the long lower horns look cool, but I've never seen one in person.

A normal strat arm should fit.

Purple
Turquoise

It sorta sorta is, but it's pretty tough to press down. Like, it's easier to bend in the neck for that kind of effect. But whatevz.
I've put about 30 hours of play time on this and can say that the quality is pretty great for the money. I'm not sure the way the pull function on the tone knob will be everyone's cup of tea, but I ignore those anyway.

I've been looking at one of these, though it's the green color I don't like.

How much did you pay for it? I've been looking at this versus a Reverend Sensai Ra.

They come in black too, I believe. The green usually isn't as bright as it's depicted in photos IRL.

I have a buddy at one of the big box stores that got me a deal on a new one. If you wait long enough, you can get a barely used one from Reverb for about $550.
