73' Jag

Postby Wittgenstein » Fri Apr 07, 2017 4:06 pm

Found this disaster 73' Jag and of course must have it. Looks like someone did a Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock on it. In the process of negotiating for it.

This course, a perpetual alternation of determining what is true, and then setting aside this determining, constitutes, strictly speaking, the steady everyday life and activity of perpetual consciousness, a consciousness which fancies itself to be moving in the realm of truth.

It's on a small Mediterranean island...have to figure out how to get it here. Owner is kind of difficult to communicate with. I'm determined, though.

It is on Malta?

I once saw a pretty cheap guitar I wanted on Reverb and then I looked at the cost to ship it. Shipping was like three times what the seller was asking for the guitar. :whoa: It was on Malta.

It is on Malta. Guitar is absurdly over-priced. Shipping is outrageous. Luckily I sold my soul to NEOLIBERALISM for money. So fug it. Gunna buy a bunch of jagz.

It can't cost that much to take a Maltese vacation, right? Just have to convince yourself it's worth submitting to the TSA for a moment of humiliation. Pay the owner a visit in person.

Looks like Edward James Olmos' face! In a good way!

Out of curiosity, how much is "absurdly overpriced?"

I'm embarrassed to say. I'll give a complete account of this deal when I have guitar in hand.

I'm bailing from this purchase. The seller told me that he thinks someone put a coat of wood stain over the guitar and the headstock (I thought it was just some sort of natural relicing). That drastically reduces the value of the guitar.

Ahhhhh yeah that's definitely a dealbreaker.

Tbh I was worried about you paying a ton of money for a guitar that was that fucked up :D

Well, he wanted $2800 for it plus shipping (at least $300). That's steep already for a 73' Jag, but with woodstain coating? gtfooh

Oh dude yeah that's too much for a 70s burst Jag, even in much better condition...
