NGD: Squier Vista Supersonic/I have humbuckers again!

Postby Ghost Hip » Mon Mar 27, 2017 12:52 am

Picked this Fella up at the beginning of the month, and after a few weeks I am officially in love! Lots of mods were already done to it by the previous owner. Duncan Distortion in the bridge, "Whole Lotta humbucker" in the neck, Graphtech saddles, and rewired with cts pots/orangecap for volume/tone rather than the stock volume/volume. They also put on some shiney potentiometer covers which I think set off the sparkle silver just right. It's been a while since I have had humbuckers and it is refreshing to not have to worry about 60 cycle hum and have smooth warm tone to work with. The MIJ neck has had 20 years to break in and it feels perfect. My last few guitars I purchased like my jazzmaster and mustangs, all required some time to get used to, set up, mods, etc. This one felt right immediately, and it was priced well below what anyone online was asking, so it had to be mine.

Anywho, here are some pics!

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...

Pretty good! Finally played it standing up today (I have been jamming sitting down a lot) and it's super comfortable.
