So while ILF was down I hung around OSG for a little while, and found this thread that revealed the new offsets from squier,

A not fuckugly offset baritone? Yes please

looks like that baritone has a TOM bridge instead of the Dano bridge which has me very excite. Will definitely be looking into one. Shop nearby my place usually gets the new squier stuff in -- they got the current baritone which was pretty whatever but it played really excellently.

if this new crop is the same then we're in for a treat.

Shit is that a baritone with p90 style pickups? Time to start saving...

OSG was filled with "I hope they don't remove the white/gold JMJM" and "no electric XII :'(" (which I'm also bummed about. I'm glad I guessed correctly about what y'all would be into :)

Saying that, the bari is mine as soon as it hits the shops

Yeah. I have been gassing hard for some extended scale action in my life and the BaritoneTelecasterd don't get much love. And they never pop up at good prices.

This is interesting to me, because cause now that I'm almost 30, I not only have a Squier (well, all but the neck), but they've become desirable. I know it's been that way for sometime now, but it's hard to shake that high school prejudice that "Squier is garbage."

turned 31 this year. bought a vmjm. it's a great guitar, love it.
had a squier strat i bought in 06 that i sold to a friend. should buy it back and turn it into a sweet baritone strat or something. had a really awesome cherry burst body with mint guard.

:doom:

I guess they were garbage, but for the price the classic vibes teles were really good, and the vintage modified offsets and a bass VI ri were exactly what people wanted. Quality wise I can't complain about my vm Jag, actually it's pretty much beyond my expectations.

I think the theme is that their bottom barrel stuff *kinda* sucks and their Classic Vibe, Vintage Modified, Signature, etc. lines are all super solid for the bread. Electronics tend to be on the meh side, but I believe they are the best modding platform out there.

Oh yes. I was just thinking about some baritone action. Sexy as fuck.
