Olin wrote:Antennafarm, I agree with you entirely. EGC have hands down the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and as nice as Kevin seems, his communication is abysmal. What I've seen a lot, and experienced first hand, is amazing communication when placing a deposit, almost immediate responses to "can I have this?" type questions, then once the deposit is taken they flatout refuse to answer anything. I've seen him say he just doesn't get the emails and doesn't mind answering all the questions, but it feels a bit off. I haven't ever had an email go missing, especially when it's a reply to an already existing thread, that's just bizarre. If you remember the hassle I had getting a neck out of them, they ended up sending the wrong neck, made to the wrong specifications at the end, and I've failed to get a response out of him/his wife in regards to compensation. I really don't like that they get a free pass to do shit like this and have it so routine and part of the standard customer experience. Buzz may have waited four years, but I don't think he failed to get a response to an update query in that time...

yeah, it's that sort of situation that really makes me hesitate on purchasing one. I was going to get one as a graduation present to myself.... but it's one of those "order when I start grad school and MAYBE it'll be done when I actually graduate." I could always buy used but What I Want is pretty specific (white standard) that doesn't pop up too often (even though it's not really Out There).

I don't think they'll miss my business because they're clearly overloaded as it is. Ah well.

I think about €2300? That was a little while ago though, may have changed.

I'm on the lookout for a tyranny and then two in a colour I don't really want and not p90's appear. Upsetting. What does a man have to do to get an acid-dipped 27.5" p90 Tyranny?

i think you know and it sounds exactly like "$3000" and "6-48 months"

6-6000 months.
As far as I know they don't do orders for Tyrannies, and I wouldn't place an order with them directly again. Kevin promised me a refund a month or so ago and unsurprisingly hasn't responded since then.
When, oh when, will Obstructures make baritones.

I sold a LP and bought this one today. It's killer :

Also, I placed an order for a Black Anodized Tyranny from Kevin earlier this year. At that time he said he still took orders for them. I got it in about 3 months.

3 months for a Tyranny sounds real tempting, I just don't know if I'm willing to gamble on the communication front.
If you're ever interested in selling that black Tyranny, let me know, I gots money and stuff to trade. Hope you enjoy your new creature!

Of course, it's not 3 months. It was 3 months for him. It might not be for you (and if we're playing the odds, I'd go on "definitely not for you). But goddang, I think it'd be worth it unless it turns into a no-sunrise sort of situation.

Yea, who knows what the time is now. When I went back and looked at dates, it was actually 2 1/'2 months. I paid 2nd half of the $ to him in feb. Kevin was pretty good at communicating with me. He said the Tyrannys were no big deal to make and he usually has some bodies laying around. I think mine being anodized is what really took the longest. I did call him a couple of times during the process.
