I just don't fucking get relic'd finishes ever.

The relic job doesn't bug me nearly as much as the humbuckers and tune-o-matic. On a relic, I could always find a way to remove the signature.

I don't like relics either but I must say I'm surprised at the level of self-control they had. Except for the metal parts, anyway. Usually it looks like someone threw a bunch of fucking screwdrivers at random parts of it.

I like the aesthetic of worn in guitars a lot. The stories and memories associated with each new guitar-scar, the dings, dents, scratches and other wear give an instrument character. I don't understand the idea of paying more for a guitar someone else beat up in a factory.

I have 4 guitars,1 bass, and 3 amps that have survived 40-50 years of existance and they all look superb(no dings, chips, etc.,just a faded finish on the Mosrite). Relic'd finishes are dat bullshit,yo

I used to think that I hated signature versions of guitars, until I played a couple that actually sounded great. So, I'm less opposed to them than I used to be. But the faked relic'd finish ....
