Always think about getting a Bronco bass when I see them on CL for $50-$75... Looks like they paid way more attn to details on the Mustangs! Now we just have to mentally compute how many people will buy one for their kids who will never use it and how long 'til they start showing up used...

It's cool how consistent Squire is at putting out interesting guitars.

I've read that people are finding the J pickup to weak to be workable on those. Other issues?

I was just gonna say, no matter how hard I try I just can't help but hate maple necks.

Still a neat lookin' bassaroo. I'd fuck with it if I spotted it at my local shop.

EDIT: That was meant to be "help but hate"

I thought the neck was over cheap. There is a point one should not cross when it comes to necks, the neck is a big part of the sound, sustain, harmonic content of a instrument. If you are going to use crap wood LAMINATE THE FUCKING THING!

My issue is the basswood. I really loved my Squier TB, but the basswood was like cork. Just not a lot of resonance at all. The neck seems fine. It seems pretty hard, and didn't need a lot of adjusting.

I'm betting this bass is basically the same as the Bronco, which I like. Could be awesome with some mods...
