An out-of-left-field question: any interest in releasing a solidbody electric tenor guitar? I've only found a few out there, and being a bass player primarily, like the idea of a four-stringed guitar.
I'm more like a mids-ist than a bassist.

Warwick, it must be early because I am not sure that I understood what you are asking? What is "pron"?
Lefties are available to be ordered and generally there isn't an upcharge for them. I keep telling myself that I need to make a couple lefties to have on hand.
A tenor wouldn't be out of the question. Would you want it tuned as the top foud strings of a guitar, or as a traditional tenor which has a banjo type tuning?
If you want a four string guitar you should get one of the nearly finished Nelson Ukuleles!

Our man Hoy is asking for hawt photos of sexxxxy guitars, preferably "tastefully lit," and on full display. :p

Cool on the tenor - knowing me, I'd probably just want it tuned EADG-ish... tempting on the Ukes, though - I'll have to keep watch to see how those turn out. Are they solidbody electrics? I'm acoustic-phobic... (again: :p )

Haha whoops! I shouldn't have posted about the ukes in here as they are acoustic....but a solid body electric uke might be a novel idea.
I am working on a top secret project for a friend of mine right now. I am designing a solid body electric banjo that doesn't look stupid.

I love the idea of a non-stupid electric banjo. As well as the possibility of an electric uke.

Regarding the uke. It would either have electric guitar strings so that a magnetic pickup would work...or...i could design a kooky cool acoustic pickup for it. But then it would probably sound...gulp...ovation-esque....and that's just terrible. =-D

As far as I'm concerned, it should be electric all day every day. But I'm biased.... :p

There is a severe lack of well made electric ukuleles.

Thank you! I have 4...errr.. 3 socialites in my basement waiting for me to afford hardware. I just finalized my first international sale and an amber finished example will soon be going to japan.
I have lipstick red, teal green, and baby blue examples left.

Those Socialites are growing on me.... :)

A couple of questions:

What woods do you use? Do you use reclaimed woods at all?

Also, are you able or willing to do custom projects? Imthinking e.g. longer-scale 24-fret neck, a baritone, that kind of thing.
ILF pedals: DE Eye of God, Mellowtone Wolf Computer, Mellowtone Singing Tree LE, Fuzzhugger Arc Flash Oscillator, DSc Miniberator, Mysterious J boost/cut/tremolo pedal

Sorry if this is asked already in your forum but have you ever done an electric in the same style finish as the acoustics? I love that natural aged/distressed/reclaimed look of the wood, it's loverly.
