Gonna ape you here as well. Like I said in the other thread and on the video, it rendered like shit. Check it if you want some idea of the range, skip around if you like, ignore otherwise :thumb:

Does anyone have a scan of the setting suggestions that ship with the pedal?

there's some high on fire, monster magnet, qotsa, kyuss and sleep in there i think. sprinkled around.

I made this because I couldn't be arsed to re-render:

00:00 High on Fire - Blessed Black Wings (+ tweaking
04:25 QOTSA - God is in the radio
05:00 QOTSA - I think I just lost my headache
07:45 QOTSA - God is in the radio, again
09:00 QOTSA? + lowpassing
11:30 QOTSA - messing up "little sister"
13:00 some cool filter settings
14:00 Monster Magnet - Superjudge (+ tweaking first)
15:30 Monster Magnet - Pill Shovel
16:30 trying to find the HM-2 in there
20:00 some filter messing about
22:30 broken filter
24:25 own idea, doomish?
28:30 FM filter settings
33:20 more FM settings
33:35 Kyuss, that scoopa scoopa scoop thing
34:55 Witch
37:50 Trying to find the heaviest setting in the entire pedal

It's pretty goddamn epic. Especially when you put the expression pedal on the PY.

I think someone else may have mentioned this, but this thing is awesome as a modifier of other pedals. I'm actually keeping it last in my chain.

yeah it is, right now i run: guitar > pretty years > ct5/4046/bitquest/shapeshiftmountain/etc in matrix mixer > out to amp

should really run it in its own spot on the matrix mixer, but everything already sounds so ducking good i dunno why i should change it up

Anyone curious about the FM might find this video I made informative/entertaining: https://www.instagram.com/p/BSH-ywwg8Wr
I basically constructed a really primitive sequencer by generating an oscillation on the Dream Reaper, then tuning the Pretty Years' notch filter to a nearby tone & turned on the FM. Wild stuff y'all.

Also hell yea Eric is right, reverb -> PY is killer

i run delay into PY tho.

and the FM really comes into its own when using a synth or drum machine, and opens up the whole CRAZY fuzz sound for the guitar.

Over the weekend I figured out that if you can sweep the notch filter, you could basically fake a phaser. So I pulled the LFO out from the WMD Protostar and yay fake phaser.
