i do indeed use it for keys. actually there's a clip on my youtubez of me using it with synth stuff. i show off the crackle-y stuff more than the actual grit but i think it's great as a basic drive pedal - it's my main OD.

lol. *I* can't do a guitar demo. i'm a fumble-handed idiot on them. and i wouldn't even know what you're looking for with the Bias Knob. on bass, i rarely play with pickups, volume or tone settings. just get the tone i adore and go from there.
