I'm going to have to dig thru this thread. Got a 4545 yesterday, fucked around a little with it last night got some cool sounds I didn't think I could find again.
I don't know if my settings will apply to this thread. Not to mention I change it all the time. I know it's said all the time, but it's one of those sit-down-and-figure-it-out sort of things..which I personally enjoy, but isn't for everyone, I realize.
Just got this pedal a few days ago, and I couldn't be happier. I've been searching for *that* fuzz for a while (closest prior to this one was a Big Muff, but this thing's WAY more flexible), and the Year 4545 NAILS it. And I'm not a fan of oscillation, either... but this one does it so tastefully. Oh, and it stacks ESPECIALLY well with my sparkle motion and Fuck OD. This is nice, because now I can always keep the Fuck on, and just stomp on this thing when I want chordal bliss.
@Brian (or anyone else, really...): I'm wanting to dial in a particular tone, any suggestions? Basically, I'm looking for a MASSIVE WALL OF SOUND fuzz, but not too much squealing/out-of-control oscillation. Almost like a Big Muff... but meatier, thicker, and more massive.
Dude, my 4545 and Xerograph have been getting it on when I'm not looking. They're basically fuck-buddies by now, and then some. The kind that'll letchu in the backdoor
