quaestion on twosome

Postby bbsgood » Wed May 22, 2013 11:51 pm

Helloo friends

Just got twosome pedal, but i was wondering if my pedal has a problem

When im using musket side with a fairly high fuzz

I get this noise when my guitar volume is at zero guitar volume at 2 or 3 will actually have

Lower noise level than on volume zero

Is this norma???

My guitar dont do this in other drive pedal

Btw im using non isolated power if that matters..?.

Should i use isolated power?.

Spend lot of money and time i live in asia so hopefully this is normal :(

Isolated power can definitely help
Is your amp set clean or dirty?
How does the pedal sound when you're playing?
When you have your guitar volume at zero, do you notice the noise stops or lessens when you hold the strings?

amp is set clean and my pedal sounds good when im playing though
like when im not playing there is noise which i expected from fuzz pedal
but as soon as i play the noise is gone (at least i cant hear it)
anywho when my guitar volume is at zero there is no change at all whether i hold the string or play

i have a tuner in front of the fuzz (true bypass) when i engage the tuner
there should be no signal going after the tuner... as it muted my whole sound before
but on my twosome musket side, i eneage the tuner there is noise from musket (musket is on)
more weird thing is if i use my volume knob while the tuner is on i can hear the noise changing as i turn the knob

very weird indeed.

also i tried to put my guitar directly into the fuzz but samething happens

I'm guessing you're daisy chaining all effect pedals, it seems like the best thing you can do in that case is to try to separate the power going to the Twosome and the tuner, do you have an extra wall wart that you can use to power the tuner?
good deals with: the_brow, phantasmagorovich, alexsga, DarkAxel, goroth, The Wood Wizard, Tendollarcat, vbps, monkeydancer, intothegroove, Brobee

I'm going with Tristan on this one - try powering just the Twosome and see if that solves the problem. The Musket side of my Twosome is dead quiet.

thanks for the reply guys
i unplugged all the other effectors from my power
and just powered twosome
to be sure i went (guitar -> twosome -> amp) nothing in between
the problem still happens,
guitar volume zero and noise
i just emailed kyle to see what he has to say
hopefully all goes well, since other than it being noisy at guitar volume zero, everything else is perfectly well
in fact noise is the loudest at guitar volume zero, i know my guitar is not the problem tho, since it only happens on twosome (learned that it happens both on musket and fixd side)
well im gonna have a band practice tommorow and will see if my house location or power was the problem or not.
anyway good night guys its night time here :)*
