I'm glad you built it!
Allow me to elaborate:
This thing is nutty. It feels like there's lubrication on the strings because the tone has such an awesome layer of smoothness that I feel like I can easily play anything with total ease particularly when it comes solo/lead playing. On top of that, I've yet to find a setting that chokes my pinch harmonics (of which I play many!) out of existence. A lot of otherwise awesome fuzzes tend to do this yet the Blunderbuss still retains the ripping, sizzling, raunchy artifacts that make fuzz so alluring. And there is literally more gain that I need on tap. I have never not max'd a gain/drive/fuzz knob to obtain the fuzz tone I'm looking for and I didn't have to max my Blunderbuss. Pushing it past 3:00 actually produced an overwhelmingly "rubbery" gain which is something I've only heard on a few select modern EHX BMP's with sustain max'd. My own BMP doesn't seem to do that.
Plus, this is the first fuzz I've had which could produce a similar tone to the shaky, sizzly, anxious fuzziness heard in the little breakdown at 1:22 on "Wires" by Red Fang. Achieved by maxing Preamp and bottoming out the Focus. The higher the gain the better that effect is heard.
So anyway, I just wanted to tell you how thrilled I am to finally experience and own this fuzz. Its a keeper.
