Quick LED question. I'm using a Blem enclosure to build my second Robot Devil. I put in 3 led's instead of the standard two. Can I run two LED's on the same foot switch by just adding a second 2.2k resistor? Or tie the second LED into the existing resistor?

Also does anyone have any experience with heat shrink? I bought some because #1 it looks good, #2 the enclosure is an awful tight fit and I don't want shit ground out in weird places.

The best bet is to either run the LEDs in parallel, with their own current limiting resistor, OR in series with a shared resistor of about a third of the value (for 3 LEDs) that you would use with one LED. What you don't want to do is use one resistor, and then run the LEDs in parallel off of that resistor, since the LED with the lower Vf would hog the current.

Heat shrink is good. My biggest problem is that I forget to put it on before I solder, and end up not using it. It should be shrunk with, in order of preference: a heatgun, a soldering iron, a cigarette lighter. A lighter will likely discolor the heat shrink if it is not black.

Did you also build the clone itself or did you only do the etching?
Looks super cool!

LOL. I totally though I put this in the finished projects thread. D'Oh. I will delete it... But yes, I built it AND etched it. HUZZAH!

Excuse my ignorance. Thought you "only" rehouse. Awesome take on that pedal.

Thanks! I started getting into the whole pedal thing by building first, etching second. The etching just made sense with my background (painting/ printmaking) so it just worked out to be more of "what I do". But I adore building.

So like an A/B box with TRS jacks would make an A/B expression pedal switcher thing? Cuz I have 1 expression pedal and more than that things I want to express.
