PCB for driving reverb tank ?

Postby multi_s » Fri Sep 29, 2017 7:16 pm

I've seen time to time some diy pcbs for a circuit to drive a reverb tank, anyone have any recommendations? i found a broken amp in the trash and instead of repairing it i just pulled out the reverb tank. I want to make it into a pedal as easily as possible.

https://oshpark.com/shared_projects/5uWFhuGd Here's one for the accutronics blue spring verb. But that has different impedance of the standard full size spring verbs. Should probably still work with some potential noise issues. I have some circuits for other spring reverb stuff saved somewhere, but none on a pcb. I'll look around for them

Headphone amplifier should also work for a spring, then a little gain on the recovery and a little attenuation on the dry out from the amp for mix.
I've got to get off my ass and bring to reality that what has been quoted through existence.

There's a layout for like "Ruthenium" reverb or something. It drives a tank. I think it's in the forums on tagboard fx. I have it printed out somewhere.

Oh like a "Revibe" or something? Typically they use 12Ax7s for reverb drivers

I've built a reverb driver and recovery stage for a reverb tank based of some of the designs here, they sound really good too. I think he sells PCBs? Not a hard vero build either but you do need a +/- supply

Tube Town sell a turret board reverb kit that you can "upgrade " to pcb. Might be worth asking them for just the pcb?
