IDEAS?, TILT Switches..!!!

Postby comesect2.0 » Mon Jan 30, 2017 10:58 pm

been making these piezo can bombs called frags....they have springs and things and create drum sounds really fun with a hexe revolver or with fuzz and overdrive awesome feedback & crashes...

was wondering though!

about TILT SWITCHES..

...if you were to have a circuit in a gnarly painted can like in the pics, controlled only by MOVEMENT, so no knobs, tilt switches inside...

!

you can get the same result using an envelop follower controlling a VCA to gate the VCO's. you don't need to build another one.

just this can that looked like it survived a nuclear holocaust when you slightly move your hand, just like when your picking up feedback and changing the pitch slightly, tilt switchs are filled with mercury and some arent ...by slightly moving the can will fuck with the each oscillator and whatever else controls inside, will be changing them chaotically by tilt switches. :!!!: :!!!: :!!!: :!!!:

Good idea
Audio samples?

are the cans feeding back without being touched? are there any other microphones in the room? how loud are your speakers when you did this?

no mic's in room, that videos from a while back...may have been just using one amp, and it for sure was not cranked all the way...theres just bigmuff and some overdrives allowing the frag to be soundingoff. you can lightly touch the cans to create different drum type loops...theres different springs in certain ones, the one in the video had those drink mixer springs inside with a a load of guitar strings connected to piezo which was placed inside the springs.....making more right now.
