The taptation system can replace any "time" knob in most delays out there:
http://www.musikding.de/Taptation-Tap-Tempo-IC-KitSo if you get any delay kit, you can add the taptation to make it tap tempo

I ended up ordering a couple IC sets from DIYstompboxes, I will just make the vero board using the layout on tagboardeffects

As an update to this:
https://www.instagram.com/p/BPUvXVhAStw ... danwillsonI made up the board and hooked it up to a Deep Blue Delay board and it is pretty cool. Between the double time switch, scale division and modulation, you can pretty much make a full featured tap tempo delay that could compete with many expensive tap delays on the market. The limitations of the PT2399 would mean it has a hard time competing with the sound and flexibility of a complex DSP based delay like an El Capistan ro whatever, but I have both a Deluxe Memory Boy and an original Pigtronix Echolution, and I would say this could hold its own against those for the most part. I am still testing a couple things and figuring out how I will box it all up, but I am really liking it so far!
As a side note, if anyone is building a Deep Blue Delay clone, tap tempo or not, I highly recommend adding in a momentary stomp for maxing out the repeats, it sounds amazing:
