Hands down the most underrated band in their time. At least a lot of people are discovering them nowadays.

Staying in the same scene, this morning I woke up with this:

Greg Dulli has this thing that he's always on the edge of being out of tune but at the same time manages to keep everything together

Started instinctively listening to Village Green this morning. Had been far too long.

The crown on a fantastic run--I might love a few of the songs on Face to Face or Something Else even more, but as an album, Village Green is the epitome....

Yooooo Screaming Trees! Good choice! Here's one of my favorites.

And in terms of what I'm listening to these days, I've been missing Jay Reatard a lot and being bummed out that the world seems to have forgotten his existence.

Corey Y wrote:A Les Paul is a dual doublecoil guitar. A Strat is a triple humbuckless guitar. Some people like to install a coil decoupler on their doublecoil guitars, to get a humbuckless sound. This guitar looks like the dual humbuckless plus doublecoil formation so popular with rock n roll practitioners of 1900's Octodecade.

It's hard to imagine how many indie bands wouldn't exist without Village Green, especially English ones. Perfect album.
