Went back and revisited Tonight's The Night - actually really good! I think I might be too harsh on it in my comments before.

Currently jamming Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere - haven't gone back to this one in a while.

I much prefer his acoustic stuff to his electric and he is the only.... ONLY artist who I would say that about!!

^^ haha i always go back and forth on that one. On the one hand it can sound a bit lame and gross but then sometimes I listen to it and it sounds more metaphorical and so sad and plaintive that I'm into it. :idk:

Interesting! i like both and some of my favourite tracks are acoustic - I think he's a genius acoustic player and he writes songs that are so powerful with just a guitar and voice+harmonica, but if I had to pick (which I do not) my heart calls to the Crazy Horse stuff. Pretty formative for me as an electric guitar player and enjoying with my dad so there is a nostalgia factor. Plus I love 10 minute jams

I was revisiting the Buffalo Springfield box set the other day and this one jumped out at me:

(I was also listening to some 13 Engines lately, and this sounds like it would have been a, ah, slapper of a 13 Engines cover.)

The BS box set also has an ace acoustic demo of "The Old Laughing Lady" which is by far the most likable enjoyable rendition of that song.

I relistened to Reign in Blood and it was pretty awesome. Arguably Neil Young’s best electric album.
