OK the player is working now and it is a ducking banger. I prefer it to the new songs on the LP at first blush.

I just listened to the single and I'm finally gettin' around to listenin' to the album. All good.

I like the new single and I like "Antarcticans Thawed" a lot too.

Saw them last night at The Warfield with Bell Witch opening.

First off, Bell Witch was rad. Haven't heard anything by them save for Mirror Reaper, was blown away. Got a shirt of theirs coming in the mail.

Sleep themselves were rad as fuck. The intro NASA tape they played before they went on was way to goddamn long, but man once shit kicked off it really kicked off. Ended up in the pit right in front of where Matt was.

Got damn speaking of Matt, his rig could easily substitute as a Viagra replacement for how much of a B O N E R it gave me. I counted 9 Orange Heads with matching cabs. for each. Shit was insane. He kept turning it up as the show went on according to a buddy of mine, which made since cause by the time they got to Dopesmoker, that shit was deafening in the best god damn way.

Unfortunately from where I was I couldn't see much of what Al was doing, but I heard it and felt it. Looked like he was running 5 Ampeg bass heads with those massive person sized cabs. Mans got a massive fucking tone. It felt like I was getting curb stomped by an ent. Al is a fucking monster. Love him.

It was amazing. Im still juiced over it. All the new songs sounded even better than they do on record, and the classics tore the roof of the place. I can't wait to see them again one day.

And somehow, my high ass was able to catch once of matts picks. which was a nice surprise. Feels like some pick of destiny shit haha.
