not a classic of the genre, by any means, but i feel like more people into this stuff should hear this band.

I've been enjoying Flowers Taped To Pens and The Hotelier.

FTTP is good, yes, and I love The Hotelier BUT ... it's not real screamo, dude. There's like a couple of songs where it's mostly screaming (I haven't heard all of/got the newest record).

Good to see you anyway. :poke:

Walt got me into Loma Prieta. Shit is so bad ass. They're local too so odds of me catching a show of theirs is high. :joy:

It's crazy to me that Loma Prieta is still around and kicking out jams after all these years. I got into those dudes in 2008 and they're still killing it.

I have said many times on here that Ten Grand is my favorite band of all time. That breakdown in the first song on that LP is so fucking hard, 100% of the time I turn my volume up full blast and headbang.

Then I need to lurk more lol.

I got into them too late, just when they disbanded (RIP). What happened to the them after that? Mainly interested in the drummer tbh.

Rest of the members went into a band called Tornavalanche. After that I have no idea. I a super rare variant of their 7" from the drummer on discogs and chatted with him for a bit. He was just surprised that anyone still gave a shit about Ten Grand lol.

That band deserved to be the biggest, they're still incredibly original and I'm surprised no one has even attempted to ape them.

Yeah, that's a rarity these days. BK lives in NYC with his wife now and James is from Florida.

Last City was amazing. And it is impressive Loma is still kicking but Self Portrait was a hard listen.

You guys are warming my heart. I don't know anyone irl who's really into screamo. The other day I was lowkey fb-stalking a dude who goes to college nearby and likes the same bands as me (even friends with the ubiquitous Shawn Decker (Coma Regalia)), wondering if I should just ask if he would be into starting a band.

Got some records by Loma Prieta and Beau Navire; just getting familiar with their new project, Elle: https://conditionsrecords.bandcamp.com/album/s-t

This split, yo

I also like Suffix
