GardenoftheDead, I don't think there's too much activity lurking under the surface. I'm thinking what we need is a plan. Since this was Nop's idea and I'm a n00b here, I don't want to be presumptuous. "Groovy Little Rock and/or Roll combo you have there boys, let me be your Phil Spector and I'll have us on the Sullivan show in a month!"

But...it's the Internet, so of course I'm going to share my thoughts and opinions with you all.
1. 30 BPM is where it's at, unless we're trying to be the Babymetal of Doom.
2. I like what JonnyAngle put down. If I were me I'd sprinkle a few drum hits in the middle, start drums in earnest towards the end, and there's your first movement.
3. Ballpark length is probably a good thing to consider. 3 minutes for top 40 airplay? Nah, I'm thinking 7-10 min is good for epic stoner doom.
4. I'm totally cool with Superior Drums from GardenoftheDead.
5. Only sent lyrics to Jwar because he said he was into singing, and if he didn't like it wouldn't matter what the bass players thought. Jury's still out on that.

So what do you think? Because for me it's this, or backing a GG Allin impersonator at the local Indian casino on weekends. "I'll pee here all week, please shit your waitress" gets old after 6 shows a week.

So, I did sing over what Jack sent me. I'm just struggling a bit with the style versus the riffs. So, it will be a challenge for me for sure without a completed piece to work with. Not that I'm not up for the challenge.

Here's the lyrics I wrote for Jack's loop.

We are the future in despair
To become complete we must repair
Our lives are lived in dismay
The endless void where pain never goes away
Shadows who slip through the night
There still so much left in us to fight

We are so bright
Destruction and chaos are in our foresight
Everlasting and endless pain
Choosing life over all monetary gain
We struggle so damn much
Those around us have become a disastrous crutch

We are the children of the mud
We crawl from death to the above
"I do not have the ability to think rationally 90% of the time and I also change my mind at the drop of a hat".
