The Byrds then.

If someone could mash up Jim Morrison's "American Prayer" with SUNN O))) guitar parts I would be very happy person. That would be the one thing that could top the Scott Walker collaboration.

"Devil Without A Cause" is KID ROCK's "Sgt. Pepper's". I'm done now.

Was thinking yesterday about a few more candidates.

The Black Album is Metallica's Sgt. Peppers actually seemed a bit obvious, and maybe wasn't so hard to imagine band swapping and rearrangement. Very worthwhile if "Lars" and "Ringo" are both in character.

Blood Sugar Sex Magic for RHCP? The genre shifts would be big, maybe jarring at first, but could definitely work.

Moving Pictures as Rush's? Oh, the clash of the tribute band dweebs on that show!

How many albums must a band have to qualify as a candidate for this "Sgt. Pepper's" status?

In that case "Visions" is GRIMES' " Sgt. Peppers"
THE BEATLES doing GRIMES would be pretty sweet. As would the inverse but only if Molly Soda is the on stage dancer (not being sarcastic).

Nothing of substance to add. My daughter is bumping "oblivion" loud as fuck while getting ready for school. She things Sgt. Peppers is boring. She would rather listen to songs from Steven Universe or Adventure Time and so would I to be honest.

I tried to listen to Sgt Peppers yesterday on headphones and all the hard panning drove me nuts, sounded terrible.

Fear of a Black Planet or It Takes a Nation of Millions?

Ringo and Flavor Flav trade their parts on the mic?

I'd pay like $10 to see Ringo and Flavor have a drum battle. :engarde:
