Yea I posted that Wormrot the second it came out. Band only puts out classics. New album is fucking incredible.

Also this band is insanity and I've been listening to this album a lot:

TFVSJS - Zoi (hyper fucked up math rock)
https://tfvsjs.bandcamp.com/album/zoi
木枯らし // 木漏れ日 // 風に綱は戦ぐ

Strange Tales Distro - Japanese Underground Music Distribution in the US
Pedal Demo Videos (WOW!)

Because you didn't read the post in the Best of the year thread when ST posted it?

But also, yes, album slays.

Long thread was long. :idk:

My browsing habits are getting... eclectic.

Awesome, glad youre into it. Theyve been putting out more accesable music as theyve progressed as a band, so definitely check out their first album if you want something a little heavier.

whoa the new wormrot sounds like dri when they went trash, nice.

maybe i didn't give this enough spins -- just wasn't as into this as some of their previous stuff.

i still remember seeing them live for the first time. when the jurassic park sample hit i think i pooped.

when the trailer ep/single came out, i was not into the two tracks at all. but after listening closely to the full lp and realizing justin and co. did most of the soundclips themselves plus they went as simplistic as possible with the songs being in the 3+ minute range. i like how upsetting that is.

I'm happy that they elected to "make their own film" for this record. Definitely ruffled some feathers. I'll have to go back to it.

"Constant Headache" and "Heart Tattoo" are two of my go-to 'get ready for the day' songs. Love me some Joyce Manor.

Speaking of which Lite's new album is also pretty good.

Saw this pop up on an end of year list.
This album ticks so many boxes - songwriting is absolutely killer. Normally I can't stand production like this, but I'll be damned if it isn't somehow doing wonderful things for me on this album.
I'm only a bit over a year late to the party...
