Calypso! Love dem lyrics

I have been meaning to post something from Harold Vick's Caribbean Suite album, which has a (de-calyps'd) version of Jamaica Farewell...but I think the better move at this point is to post Vick's version of Parker's Barbados with some sweet percussion and seasoning by Bobby Hutcherson:

Well, Ron Carter's probably the most recorded jazz bassist.

Not that this guy's under-recorded, but maybe in comparison?

Yeah, I dig Ron, but he's no Richard Davis, who gets 1,000,000  from me forever....

Eric Dolphy--Iron Man, featuring the inimitable Richard Davis

Yeah, that's an outstanding one (& on that Jaki Byard record above too)!

I just Googled "most recorded jazz bassist" and dude in the comments posits that Ron Carter is not the most recorded jazz bassist.

He claims it's Ray Brown. With Milt Hinton right up there too. :idk:

Anyway, sure I've posted this before, but more Richard Davis:
