I don't follow this thread much though there's all sorts of good stuff I've been pointed to in it ( :thumb: ). So sorry if this has been posted like, 5 pages ago.

But I've been listening to this record tonight, not for the first time, and it's fantastic. This live version is good too.

Vibes alert! Went to a cool release show last night for some peeps who did a nifty album of duo pieces for vibraphone + double bass.

I've never been a big jazz fan but I'm recently finding myself enjoying it a lot. Most of the jazz I listen to is more Jazz-rock/Krautrock like Embryo, Kollektiv, etc..
Anyway I found this and I really like it ! I'm now exploring the world of free-jazz :) What should I listen to next ? I've also found some Sun-Ra stuff that I love but this Tomasz Stanko guy really is a great discovery for me :)

Other than that you can listen to Brute Force, Charlie Mariano, Placebo, Compost, Et Cetera, Wolfgang Dauner, Exmagma, Albert Mangelsdorff, AMM, Company, Evan Parker, Derek Bailey, Lol Coxhill and Italian library jazz to get yourself started… the list goes on and on though...

and really just go through this thread. there's lots of great free jazz posted in here. :idk: :snax:

 Thanks ! I'll listen to all of them !
I've basically gone through the ''Psychedelic Underground'' and ''Aguirre Cosmico'' youtube channels so I've found so cool things like Pharoah Sanders, Cecil Mcbee, Wolfgang Dauner, Embryo and Niagara (which are more Jazz-rock/kraut), ... etc :)
Man I love discovering new genres and diving into it ! Same happened with krautrock and now I basically only listen to 70's german music
