I liked Gardens of the Moon a lot but the series really lifts off after that. Also, Tehol and Bug may be some of the best characters in the series. So much fun.

One of the most epic Summoning tunes! I do miss the original samples though. "Do you not know death when you see it?"

This album is fantastic. Didn't hear it in 2015 but retroactively one of my favourites from that year.

My guess it that they either couldn't source them or the label putting out the tribute didn't want to get permission from whatever company owns the rights to the sources.

Dodecahedron should drop something new in 2017. Their debut (and thus far only) album was ridiculously good.

I don't think my friend plays on that record but he's playing bass live with them now and apparently the new shit slays.

Also I don't know if you guys know Feral, but they're female-fronted black metal that have members of Falls (and they're fucking great):

Awesome. Need to check that out.

Dope your friends jamming with them. Forgot they're your neck of the woods, right? (For now.)

I just bought tickets for Mayhem, Inquisition and Black Anvil later this month. I've wanted to see Inquisition for years, really stoked to finally get the chance.
