Dynacomp- Max Sustain and Max Volume. :idk: I'm not hearing much pick attack.
Still thinking about how you could get the fuzz texture.. I'm sure Morningstaru, the conniesuer of fuzz, will be able to tell.

Well SOMEONE should be able to identify it. this IS ILF after all...
It's reminiscent of Psychocandy fuzz tones, wonder if they've got a Shin-ei in the studio.

there's definitely more than one guitar there, and it sounds like an awful lot of compression to me.

Go to about 3:40ish and tell me how that tone was achieved. Just insane.
Do you like listening to homemade music? Me too. Why don't you try one of mine?

Current ILF Love: OHNOHO CHK CHK BOOM, Mellowtone Melx Fuzz 2, EQD Dream Crusher, Devi Ever ID, Dr. Scientist Proto-Miniberator - new vids eventually

some mysteries are best unsolved

So, I guess the follow-up question here is what kind of fuzz could get that compressed tone?

couple of RATs might do it.

http://amateurchemist.blogspot.com/2007 ... es-at.html

There are a few shots of the pedalboards there, Sune rose Wagner appears to be using a RAT, Boss Mega Distortion, Jimi Hendrix octave Fuzz, Sharin's using a couple of RAT pedals, a ZVex Fuzz Factory, from what i can make out (and some stuff that's been taped over)
People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.

Yeah, his live tone is much different though. In the studio there's a lot of different fuzzes they use.

i have a RAT, and know that i think about it, with a bit of fiddling with the filter control you could probably cop that.

This is more like "What's that synth?" than "How'd they get that tone?" but oh well.
You can see it pretty good around 1:48 - 1:51
