It does seem with a little more planning it could be cool. I didn't think you were being unkind.

Gimmicks usually fall flat.
I’d have to rehouse or etch this to make it useful.

For under two bills, there's a decent bit of stuff happening here.

It's interesting, but all that functionality needs to be spelled out better. It's also very telling how much a company can jam into a chip and get as many sounds as this pedal gets.

Keeping an eye on this since a few weeks, still want to hear a proper demo, but reading the specs intrigued me a lot.
And yes, too bad it's a wallet destroyer more than smasher.

I've been interested in Cloudy, too. It seems like a technological step past similar things like the Pladask Fabrikat and the Drolo Molecular Disruptor so it seems priced accordingly. I love that it's open source and seems to be user-hackable.

I watched the modular demos. This fucker is insane! I'd love to hear it with a guitar going through it and see if it's a useful piece of equipment. Not afraid of the price. It seems fair for the continued support and development.

The modular demos are great but I'm very curious how it works with guitar. Seems a lot different from the Fabrikat and Molecular Disruptor in the way it might process a guitar signal (less "presets" of combos so to speak) though still very cool.

Nice to see the additional info on this. Some cool design choices (expression mapping, blend functions split out in separate knobs) and some interesting ones (stereo volume control via internal trimmer? So basically you can have stereo or you can have top-adjustable volume, but not both. Odd choice). Nice to see the CV ins for position and density. Not sure where most people are going to get a random cv source in pedal format, which is what the "module" needs to really open it up, according to clouds creator Emilie. I've been using a custom cv version of the broadcast with a fast s&h to pair with the older blue lantern version of clouds in sort-of pedal format. Not sure what other options are out there.
