Ok I'm gonna be straight up: I ordered an Even Anguish mainly to request a bunch of dope stickers from Mr Dirge because I'd seen the ones a buddy got with his Slowly Melting and I am a sucker for stickers. I figured I'd kill two birds and also try a harmonic percolator because its one of the rare flavors of dirt I hadn't tried yet, but I fully expected my current dirt setup (Mini + OD850) to still keep the EA off my board because they've knocked down every challenger so far. I was wrong. I plugged it in and didn't even mess with the knobs, and it was instantly the sound I've been looking for in my noise rock/indie band. Not a single nasty setting on it (not that its not "nasty" in its way, but its a nice nasty), and the toggle switch is incredibly nice to have to open it up and add more volume (this is how I'm running it). It doesn't suck out any low-end like I was expecting either, just brutal slamming ice-pick goodness. Cleans up REALLY well with the volume knob too, actually gets incredibly close to how I had the Mini set for low-gain stuff.
I've had the same dirt setup for quite some time so I just wanted to gush about Dirge for managing to knock it out of the park with this one and being a super-cool dude to deal with (he also STUFFED the box with stickers). Might want to try a Slowly Melting now. (Fully expecting to want my 6th mini in about a month though).
