Some help me fix my BitQuest? :(

Postby frigid midget » Tue May 22, 2018 1:56 pm

Had in a box for a while now, got depressed even thinking about it :(

Took me ages to bite the bullet and finally buy a bitquest. Fellow forumite I bought it from isn't to blame, motherfucking customs or UPS ruined the switch in somesort of secret satanic anti-pedlol ritual :(

Where do I order that type of switch?

Right here? :idk:

You could always email Ryan/Dr. Sci, who might be able to take it in for repair :hello:

But then the curse might never end? :picard:

It's a momentary latching switch. If you have any minimal soldering skills, you can fix it. Super easy fix. You could get a good stomp for it for a few bucks.

If you have a soldering iron and have done any work with it at all you can easily install that new switch. Just two little wires!

Anyone any ideas where to find what I'm looking for in the EU? :idk:

Edit: I apparantly suck at google'ing  Found what I need, thanks again dudes :hello:

Any spst footswitch of the correct shape will do. Carling make good ones. You really don't need to find the exact same one.

If I were close to you, I'd just fix it for nothing. It's so easy and that sucks ass when that shit happens. That pedal is so amazing.

I'm an idiot for making such a big deal out of this....I'm no electronic engeneer or anything, but installing a new switch costs me 10 mins tops, and 6 or whatever Euro for the switch

Ordered it here:

Psyched to finally bitquest the fuck out of my board. It's been screaming for this pedal, it's like it's made for my board. Don't have *any* modulation on it atm, which is a crying shame, even for someone who's not that into modulation.

I'm mostly about delay and fuzz these days, and my main dirt sources are as classic and un-boutique as it gets: HM-2, FZ-2, Harmonic Perc, '70s MicroAmp. So a tiny amount of super versatile Dr Scientist extravaganza should be fun way to battle my dad rock tendencies :)
