So it's just a fancy Organelle?

That's what it looks like to me. Less toy like than the Organelle for sure

i think they are similar yes but also not. different dsp environments?
organelle = pure data
norns = super collider?? + whatever LUA is?

not to mention that the patches will be totally different, so prolly not really the same at all functionally/musically.

Oh definitely different environments and different functionality, but the basic idea of a musical computer that plays different patches is pretty similar. Also, not saying that's a bad thing or they're trying to steal the idea or anything. I'd probably prefer Norns by far as I love the look of their grid and the Organelle felt a little too toy like when I owned one.

oh ya def didn't think u or anybody was.

just thought the deets were kinda hazy
i basically had to scroll thru like a 1000 post thread
to unravel it and i'm still not too clear on aspects.

got a soft spot for the grids too.

Next week we will announce a brand-new synthesizer and the first place to see, hear, and play it will be here at Moogfest.

I spoke with someone earlier today, whom I think has gotten a sneak preview of it, and he mentioned it was something to keep an eye on. I was hoping it would debut at Superbooth, but I guess we'll have to wait an additional two weeks.

Last year, a couple of Moog reps talked about the JUCE platform at a conference and how it was impacting their current approach. I'm curious to see if it's a hybrid (digital poly with analog filters) or perhaps a deeper analog synth with an ambitious amount of digital control. Based on emerging technology and Moog's recent voyages into the iOS realm, I think many synth watchers are expecting a departure from previous Moog offerings. Will we see the first major flagship synth with MPE? :snax:

I dig it but would like a bass demo.

:idk: I dug the whole back-to-the-futurity of it all; all the moreso in this one:
