How much smaller can they get?

The enclosures will be larger than average, but not as long as college dictionaries. There are definitely differences in the layout, and it looks like they may have been able to shave 1.5 inches off the bottom or more. (did they trim a little off the sides as well?)

The BP/HP/LP selector has been replaced with a 2-way toggle. The VOL & GAIN pots have both been moved from their original rows. If you look at the lines coming from the eye, there are several missing on the 2018 version.

The 2nd CV port and accompanying pot has been replaced with an expression option. My favorite change is that the A/B selectors have more detailed descriptions.

I haven't had many dealings with him, but he was definitely pleasant and professional.

That’s about all I can share right now, just know that Summer Namm will reveal great pedals.

That DAW cassette is great! I've been using it a lot with my ipad when I sample stuff from other apps, so that the samples fit better with my field recordings/lo-fi samples. I haven't used my guitar with it yet, but I can tell it'll sound tasty. :snax:

if nothing else, that video has reminded me that I need to get my Tenori-On running through my pedals, possibly through the MicroKorg (if possible) or using a mixer (I have two, somewhere).

You're probably thinking of the Bliptronic. They were $50 on Thinkgeek. I think several people converted them into MIDI controllers, in order to use it as a poor man's Monome. I have a couple in storage tubs---they sound pretty crappy, unless you roll the VOL pot really low and then feed them through FX (trem/reverb/delay). The digital character of the sound is quite harsh, so they'll cut right through a lot of effects (especially phaser). Also, I could not get any of mine to chain in series for longer sequences, despite the advertised claims.

For $50, though, it wasn't a bad toy for bedroom noodling.

DSI offers a first glance at the Prophet X, ahead of Superbooth. From the close-ups, it appears to be 16 voices and bi-timbral. From the initial sounds, it's likely a sampler/wavetable synth with analog filters. In the top-right corner, the 8Dio label is featured. They create samples for Kontakt.

The screens and layout remind me of the Pro 2, Prophet 12, and other models. I'll be interested in hearing how it all coalesces, when deeper demos are made available.
