I think the Sea Machine and Space Spiral could mimic a few of those DML sounds. The Reverse Radical did a lot of weird/oddball sounds, but I never bonded with it. I'm kind of surprised that no one has done a modern tribute to the DML stuff (Alexander, Keeley). For Ibanez to reissue it, I imagine it'd require a complete reworking, as it likely has parts that aren't readily available.

Great, make me want a Space Spiral more, haha. The DML is nuts. From the most subtle filtering to how did that horde of electrogoblins get inside there. Can't believe one sold for $50 on GC the other day

i’m copying this here for posterity:
Personally, I have more flangers than a person should: PAiA Phlanger, Alesis Phlngr, two Boss BF-1s, two MXR Micro-Flangers, a PAiA Hyperflange, a Chase Bliss Spectre, Line 6 Liqui-Flange, and all the digital patches included on rack units
interesting flange choices from mr. Hammer...

Word on the street is that the MF series will be discontinued, so, sadly, no need to invest in adult diapers at the moment.

And another thing--what do people think about the sub-1-ms delay time on a flanger thang? Crucial? Meh? I like it longerer anyway?

Any big fans of the BF-1, OG A/DA, OG MXR, Ross, DOD 670/640 specifically because of the Reticon SAD1042A/low minimum delay time?

Edit to add the old EHX flangers (duh) and the Tel-Ray/Morley CFL.

What other chips get down there? MN3204, MN3209, yeah? Others?

That being said, I do like very short delay times.

I like short delay times cause they can be used like filters some times . Pseudo misty cave resonance kind of stuff.

The Malekko Thicken seems to do a lot of extreme shifts and modulated warbles, too. That might be the closest modern equivalent of the DML series.
