Ahhh PLL's...to me, they just sound like an ARP Odyssey or CRUMAR SPIRIT (very different synths).
But they are also really cool. I can only name 5 off the top of my head. In my mind the least expensive one sounds the best (the upcoming PURPLL).
So 1. PURPLL 2. ELTA MUSIC SCHUMANN CLONE 3. Industrialectric 4046-m 4. Schumann (OG) 5. Two TROGOTRONIC Synths MS 669 AND MS 676
The OG Shumann is too goddamn expensive. I also think this does not sound the best. Not a lot of harmonic controls for the TROGOTRONIC stuff (not really a Schumann clone but to my ears an unmistakable 4046 oscillator sound). The Industrialectric is in a world of it's own. It's like its own instrument. The ELTA sounds good to but maybe a tad squelchy (as is typical)? The PURPLL sounds dense with harmonics (based on the three audio clips).
Any thoughts on PLL's? Any thoughts or experience with either? I plan to go for the PURPLL.
