Anyone got any thoughts on these? Way too new for any proper reviews on the sound, but I haven't heard of anything like them yet feature wise. The Chase Bliss of amps?
Basically, all analogue valve amps that can be controlled entirely digitally, saving presets, the rest of it. Some info from Stone Deaf:
50 Watts RMS Class A/B or 8 Watts RMS Class A (Perfect for gig volume with increased headroom for recording and home use)
Light weight Poplar cabinets available (Brilliant portability because of its light weight construction options)
All analogue valve amplifier circuit with digital control of reverb, tone, volume and gain settings via a push of a button
(Allows the user to store 8 pre-sets per bank with 4 banks and recall up to 32 channels / presets of user defined tone)
Midi Input (allows control of all settings via midi input using standard midi protocol)
240/ 120v Switchable (perfect for travel due to its ability to switch voltages from US, EU to UK etc)
Digital Spring Reverb (Medium spring digital reverb)
Channel assignable Cathode Bias and Fixed Bias (Various tonal options)
Channel assignable Solid State Rectifier or Valve Rectifier (Various tonal options)
Channel assignable buffered effects loop with send and return volumes (able to assign your effects loop to various channels, possibility to put EQ, delay or modulation and assign it to a specific preset / channel)
Haven't played but I hung out at their booth and listened to the stone deaf guys play them at a show 2 months ago. Sounded really good to me as a basic amp (clean and dirty, really heavy ), didn't really play with changing the settings much though. Got an explanation though and it's crazy how many presets you can set up, could be really fun. The knobs all have a circle of LEDs around them so you can see where they're set without moving the physical knobs and it looks badass.
Review: would like to try more, level of control is probably something I would feel bad for underutilizing but could be perfect for some more tweak happy types.
Umm, yes. The dude was sound, mentioned something vaguely positive about dropping by and they're based pretty close to me I think. Hearing their other pedals was fun too, the distortion is wicked cool, good noise gate.
