percolators produce even order harmonics? is this similar to crossover distortion? does something like the zvex machine/geiger counter/prunes+Custard get into this territory?

I still like my 1000 hurst, but this...Dunno, it might be just the demo, but that sorta medium gain nasal harshness and lack of low end...sorta reminds me of my early days when I couldn't afford fresh batteries for my DS-1 :idk:

Harmonic Percolators don't quite seem to produce that type of waveform, but kind of come close at full bore. The Geiger Counter and Prunes and Custard can definitely do crossover distortion, as can the Spencer Amps Subzombie, Source Audio Multiwave distortion, and Wolftone/Malekko Chaos.

The builder offers his wares directly through Reverb. There was a white one available not too long ago.
