Been a while since we had a HARMONIC PERCOLATOR thread, no?

I mean, it's the BIG Clang, not the average Clang.

I think the percolator is a device where the magic is rooted in cleanup personally. I've built a few Si models based off Escobedos design, and I prefer the Ge, though it's substantially harder to get a decent sounding transistor in there. They clean up smoother imo.

I'm probably in the minority here but I never use my volume knob on my guitar

Under normal circumstances I totally would just put them on switch but trying to keep this under $100 poses quite a few limitations

I mean you right.

In testing for this I discovered a silicon transistor set that sounds and cleans up the exact same as the Even Anguish, which uses the same transistors that is the original HP. Hit me up and I can send you the schematic.

Someone needs to make 2 percs in parallel with diode options and separate gain controls and a mix control and maybe an overall post or pre gain control.

Since people are paying attention...

Well, Champion Leccy's got The Numpty comin'. :snax:

Not exactly what you're asking for, but it is two Divvies in one box.

Three-way voicing switch and a volume for each (I think).

After two sessions just sitting down in switching out four components,I finally came up with the spec for my one knob Si perc run. I aired towards the side of sythy/clangy rather then traditional perc ballsy. Have to run the BOM but it should be under $100

What a fucker! (Jeremi Hudson is a rip-off artist. Yes, I'm shaming Reverb sellers now.) $200 for a Land Devices HP-2?

Step up yo' production, Land Devices!!!

… and maybe ditch that orange switch for a nicer color. :D

wait....the EA cleans up? I dicked with mine for an hour last night (at loud volumes however) and couldn't get anything resembling low gain at the very least...

Hell even my atrocity model with a Darlington cleans up still. It just oscillates and is unpredictable at less than half gain with diode clipping engaged. All my current silicon variants.. ok that's 2.. they all clean up pretty nice still.
