I think Randy's Revenge may be the most accessible ring mod.

Although, listen to rickenbastard rip on this Moog:

This's a Cleva Industrial 8 Gal. Heavy-Duty Wet/Dry Vacuum w/ 2-stage motor:

As far as I know, there's no built-in ring modulator. :snax:

Contact mic it and use it as a carrier!

Ring mod the sound of the vacuum getting the sawdust against the sound of the saw, and become:

I still think there is some good possibilities of multiple people playing into one ring mod.

Here's a stupid question: I recently bought a Moogerfooger Ring Mod and I seem to be constantly overdriving the gain know into the red. Is there any risk of damaging this thing if that happens? I'm going to put it into my boss line selector so I can take it in and out of my chain and potentially buy a tb looper for it because my board looks like spaghetti right now with two loops coming in and out of that thing.

Like a ring mod mixer?

I'm not a Moogerfooger owner myself, but a friend is and we've utilized his MF in ring mod shoot outs in the past and it is almost always driven into the red. I would expect it is probably okay in terms of not damaging anything, but admit I was taken aback by the low headroom at first too.

Yeah, that's one of the things I didn't like about the Moog. I don't think there's any possibility of causing damage. It just won't always sound great with the drive like that. :idk: In general, I like pedals with higher headroom because I'm bound to hit 'em with a hot signal somewhere down the line.

Thanks for the feedback - I know it's a stupid worry but it's literally more than I've ever spent on a pedal and I'd be totally bummed if it bit the dust, and also I use it alllllllll the time. I watched an awesome video on ring modulation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzCja8lc1to&t=7s where at one point he says he burned one of his out.... also a great video in every possible way!

Yeah, that video's great. (I posted it back on pg. 5.) :thumb:

There was a time when I really disliked Ring Modulators, I currently have three Ring Mod capable pedals, and there are still one or two others I wouldn't say no to ;)

I have: BitQuest / Syntax Error / Vitruvian Mod

I would like: Frantone - Glacier Hyper Modulator / ZVEX - Ringtone / Fairfield Circuitry - Randy's Revenge

Currently I have a MF-102, a minifooger ring mod and a Gonkulator reissue.

I would love to grab a Ringworm from Way Huge but they seem to be out of production.

That being said I'm excited to try the ring stinger clone a couple of handy gentleman are working on.. seems to do everything I'm interested in. And it has a ton of knobs

Are you waiting on an ILF builder? If not, Elta already makes one.

I started watching clips of that and within 5 seconds was like... what gear can I sell to buy this immediately?
