I guess it's a Flanger.
If it's purple, it better be a flanger.
I've yet to notice the difference sound-wise between a flanger and a phaser, anyone care to enlighten me?
Flangers and phasers are very similar sounding. Flangers are time based modulation. Phasers are filter based. They both came about trying to emulate the sound of tape flanging. Phasers came first, then later flangers. To me, the main difference is that flangers are generally more versatile. You can usually get a lot more varied sounds out of a flanger than a phaser. I love 'em both, but I think I love flangers more. (Look what happens when I take the time to type up a detailed response. I miss so much.)
